The Interactive Gaming Council has just undergone a change in leadership with
the appointment of a new Chair and two elected Board members. Outgoing
chairperson, Sue Schneider, was recently given a tribute of sorts, commemorating
Schneider's eight years of service on the Board.
Helping found the IGC, Schneider has been Chairperson of the non-profit
organization since Day One. Being very active within the professional online
gambling industry, Schneider is no stranger to gaming executives. Not only has
she been instrumental in helping expand and legitimize the industry as a whole,
Schneider has been highly successful behind the informational side of things.
As the CEO of Clarion Gaming, which publishes the popular webzine
publication, iGaming News, Schneider certainly has had her hands full doing
market research, executive placement and organizing online gambling summits and
expos. Schneider will continue her duties with Clarion and says she will still
be involved with the IGC as immediate past chair.
Filling her shoes is lawyer and Chief Financial Officer of Creative Edge
Enterprises, Mark Stone, who said he is honored to be taking the reigns of the
IGC at a "very exciting time". Stone said his main objectives as Chairperson of
the IGC will be in providing information to and educating U.S. legislators as
the opportunity to regulate online casinos becomes more of a possibility.
