Live Dealer Operations at Playtech Online
Casinos Go Down

If you experienced a lack of service from Playtech Software's live dealer
online casino servers this last week, you weren't the only one. And when I say
"lack of service", I mean no service at all. Several Playtech online casino
licensees who normally offer live dealer gaming, were entirely shut down, so far
as live dealing was concerned, apparently due to some backend issues on Playtech's end. According to affected players, a few online casinos had their
live dealer services inoperable for over a week.
Everything seems to be back in order at this time, while the exact reasons
for the shutdown are unclear. During the glitch, Playtech said it was an
"exceptional and temporary" problem that would be shortly fixed. Well, they were
good on their word, because the Casino Web Cam's are up and running, and players
are interacting with their favorite live dealers once again.
Needless to say, there was a collective sigh of relief that the problem was
not bureaucratic, so to speak, or at least, that the problem was resolved. In
fact, online gambling industry insiders speculate that the problem was indeed
because of licensing issues. While it's true that live dealer online casino
games are a safe and dependable way to gamble for real money over the internet,
live online games via Casino Web Cam's have yet to be precisely categorized for
licensing purposes.
