Ultimate Bet Online Championship Guarantees
$750,000 for Top Prize

It depends on where you go and who you talk to, but it seems like every other
online poker room these days claims to be the home of the "largest" or most
popular poker tournament. While many of these claims are unfounded, some of them
certainly have merit. One such meritorious poker room is none other than
Ultimate Bet, which is hosting their largest online poker series to date this
weekend.
Called the Ultimate Bet Online Championship, a total of thirteen online poker
events over the course of ten days are scheduled to take place, including
several guaranteed pots for 6-Seat No Limit Hold'em, standard No Limit Hold'em,
Limit Hold'em, Pot Limit Hold'em and Pot Limit Omaha 8 or Better. The top prize
is a guaranteed $750,000 (at a $1,000+50 table), which definitely makes this one
of the richest poker tournaments on the Web.
The multi-million tournament is scheduled to begin on December 7th and will
attract a turnout of some of the biggest names in poker. Both Phil Hellmuth and
Annie Duke will take part in several events, and if either one gets knocked out
the player responsible for doing so will be awarded a 20-minute poker lesson by
telephone from either pro. Although this might seem like no big deal, it's more
about the novelty and bragging rights of knocking out one of the top poker pros
on the circuit.
The tournament has been evolving gearing up to the kickoff. This week alone,
UltimateBet added an additional $100,000 Leader Board Competition, as well as
several Team UB Bounty satellite tournaments. Winners of the satellites will be
awarded seats to the main event, and will also get their buy-in back if they
happen to knock out one of Ultimate Bet's roster poker pros on the UB Team.
