Bluff Europe Poker to Distribute Magazine Issues to UK Poker Pub League
by Lance Kessel Onlinecasinosworld.com

November 09, 2007

The European poker scene has taken another step forward, uniting mainstream poker magazine, Bluff Europe, with the grassroots poker pub scene in the United Kingdom. It was recently announced that a deal between Bluff Europe and The Poker Project - an expanding pub poker league - has been signed. The partnership will see Bluff Europe distributing copies of its magazine to poker league players around the UK.

Considering that the Poker Project was launched only about one-and-a-half years ago, the deal with Bluff Europe is indicative of the booming nature of organized poker leagues in the UK. Bluff Europe itself was only recently launched, and both entities have experienced tremendous success in the short time they have been in operation.

The Poker Project has now infiltrated over 100 venues in over 13 regions in the UK. The way it works is really like any other poker league. Players compete for points, which are tallied up throughout the year and used to determine who plays at the final league table. Finals will begin taking place this December, and are scheduled to be held at various venues, such as Birmingham's Broadway Casino. Poker Project has grown so popular in fact, that SKY TV is making plans to broadcast an upcoming Poker Project event.

Both Bluff Europe and the Poker Project are very excited about the new partnership. A spokesperson for the Poker Project said that having such a prestigious magazine as Bluff Europe supplied to its players will only help to raise the level of play. Bluff Europe Editor-in-Chief, Michael Caselli, said they are committed to grass roots poker, and that they believe the Poker Project will help to make poker pub leagues an even greater phenomenon in the UK and beyond.
