Mamamia Online Poker Room to Penetrate
Chile, South America

As the Spanish speaking sector of the online poker and
gaming industry continues to grow and regulation laws become
more liberalized, another South American poker site has joined
Microgaming Software's network of online poker rooms. Based in
Chile, the new site - Mamamia Poker Room - is owned and
managed by Mamamia Gaming.
In Chile, where online gambling laws are more liberal than
many other areas in the world, Mamamia Poker is expected to do
well for itself. The company has already made plans to launch
a television and newspaper marketing campaign in Chile, and
has apparently also signed several affiliate relationships to
get even more exposure in Chile and other countries throughout
South America.
Mamamiagaming.com is the main hub site for Mamamia Poker
Room, which may or may not have its own domain at this point.
Apparently, there is a bogus skin site under the domain of
mamamiapoker.com that is simply a holding page for links to
the Broadway musical, Mama Mia! It is not known whether
Mamamia Gaming will seek to obtain this domain. All betting is
currently done through Mamamiagaming.com.
The good news for Microgaming is that Mamamia Gaming is the
first Chilean gaming site operator to join its network, which
ultimately means deeper penetration in the international
market. Coupled with the fact that Microgaming's gaming
platform, which is incidentally licensed by over 100 online
casinos, can be downloaded in over nineteen languages, makes
this one of the most international gaming platforms on the
Web.
Both companies are excited about the new partnership.
Mamamiagaming Manager, Daniel Pagmar, said he is confident
Mamamia will become a leader in the young gaming markets of
Chile and Argentina. Microgaming's, Roger Raatgever, said that
Mammamia Poker is the start of a large network of poker sites
in South America, where Microgaming has been recently
allotting a large number of their resources.
